It's hard to believe one year has passed since our life altering trip to China. Grace is such a huge part of our family now we can't imagine life with out her! She has gotten past the largest part of her adjustments and I can honestly say she is securely bonded & attached.
I thought I would share some revelations & observations this past year have brought.
1. Little beings, though little, can have huge hurts from being abandoned
2. Love is not enough to help these little ones heal.
3. Helping Grace heal has been hard, but who said hard was bad?
4. Girls can scream really loud! :)
5. The boys (& man) in my life are the most awesome, supportive, loving, understanding & helpful beings on the planet!!!!!!
6. Grace can keep up with any boy around!
7. Yes....God did make girls different than boys.
8. Speech therapy games & sign language is fun.
9. Girls really do like & want to wash their hands!! Who knew?
10. Girls DON'T like poopy on any part of their body. (See # 4)
Seriously, I just wanted to thank everyone for their continued thoughts & prayers. This last year has taught us all soooo much as a family. We are stronger for it & we are thankful beyond words.
